BIO

Dr. A. Lynne Wagner is a Caring Science Scholar, Caritas Coach®, Watson Caring Science Institute Faculty Associate, HeartMath Certified Trainer, Nurse Educator-Consultant for mentoring and caring practice, and a volunteer in the Medical Reserve Corps. Her nursing career spans over 50 years, including clinical nursing; Staff Education; Family Nurse Practitioner; private practice of Lamaze Childbirth Education, honored as a Fellow of the American College of Childbirth Education; and over 20 years in Nursing Education. Presently, Lynne serves as mentor/advisor to nurses and doctoral students, and offers presentations and workshops on Caring practices founded in Caring Science. Her research and publications focus on a caring-mentoring model; reflective practice; aesthetic ways of knowing self and others through storytelling/narrative, poetry, & photography. Her 2015 book, Four Seasons of Grieving, was awarded ANA Book of the Year 1st place in Palliative/Hospice category. Lynne was awarded the 2018 ANA Massachusetts Mary A. Manning Mentoring Award and the 2022 International Association of Human Caring’s Legacy of Caring Award. Lynne is a published poet, a world traveler, and loves to spend time with her family and in nature.
