BIO

Rachael Salguero is an Instructor in the School of Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, as well as a clinical staff nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital. Serving as a Board Member of the Massachusetts/Rhode Island League for Nursing, Rachael is Board-Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing and is a Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator. Her clinical background includes medical-surgical nursing and respiratory acute care nursing. She is recognized as an advanced clinician at Massachusetts General Hospital. Rachael is enrolled in a PhD program and her research interests include mentoring clinical adjunct faculty, clinical judgment, active learning strategies in the classroom, and the use of standardized patients in virtual simulation. Rachael enjoys spending time with her three children and husband (who is a chef!). Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, and traveling.
